Green-lipped mussel+ for dogs is a 500mg dietary supplement using Green-lipped mussel, farmed directly from New Zealand. The green mussel we use is the best New Zealand has to offer, pressure extracted using CO2 from mussels to maximize fat content.

Green-lipped mussel first became interesting when it was noticed that Maori who lived in coastal areas and regularly consumed these mussels benefited.

This shellfish is economically important to New Zealand. It differs from other mussel species in that it has a dark brown/green shell and a green lip around the edge of the shell. It is also one of the largest mussel species reaching up to 240mm in length. Green-lipped mussel is widely used in joint care supplements and has proven health benefits for dogs with joint problems or where the maintenance of joint and muscle growth is required.
